On the grounds, visitors can explore the Edwardian Cookery School Gardens, which are managed organically. There is an extensive modern herb garden laid out as a grand parterre, formal fruit garden, vegetable garden, herbaceous border and shell house of great charm, lawns, pools and temple.

The Ballymaloe Shop and Café is located in a charming old farm building located next to Ballymaloe House and it’s run by a member of the Allen family, Dervilla O’Flynn. Dervilla trained and taught at the Ballymaloe Cookery School and uses her favorite tried and tested recipes in her café. Dervilla and her team keep up to date with current food trends and use only the best seasonal produce when creating their weekly café menu.
