Caherconnell Sheep Dog Demonstrations, County Clare.
Plan your Wild Atlantic Way tour around one of the Caherconnell Sheepdog demonstrations, which take place daily from the middle of March to October. Check out the combined skills of the border collies and their master John, who has been working with the adorable animals for years. Meet Rose, Lee and Sally and see how the dogs are trained to work with sheep and cattle. While here you can also take a self-guided tour of the well preserved, magnificent Caherconnell Fort, a ringfort that’s over 1,000 years old. Discover its exciting history and archaeology through informative graphic displays.

Connemara National Park, County Galway.
Connemara National Park in County Galway covers some 3,000 hectares of scenic mountains, expansive bogs, glorious grasslands and enchanting woodlands. Explore Connemara National Park and admire the incredible scenery where rugged mountains dominate the dramatic landscape. Spot the towering peaks of Benbaun, Bencullagh, Benbrack and Muckanaght, part of the famous Twelve Bens. There are lots of scenic walks and beautiful nature trails to explore.
