Ireland Prepares To Roll Out The Green Carpet

At last there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for International visitors planning to visit Ireland.

The Irish Government recently announced that from July 19th 2021, (subject to the prevailing public health situation), Ireland will reopen it’s doors to International visitors.

Visitors arriving into Ireland from EU member states, bearing the Digital Covid certificate (DCC) – which attests that the holder has either been vaccinated against COVID-19, has had a negative test result for COVID-19 or has recovered from the virus – will then be able to visit Ireland without the need to undergo quarantine.

Passengers with a DCC based on a non-PCR test (for example, antigen), or those arriving without a DCC, will require proof of a negative RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival. Children aged between 7 and 18 who have not been vaccinated must also have a negative PCR test.

We are delighted by the commitment to extend the Digital Covid Certificate to vaccinated visitors from other countries – including Great Britain and North America.

For further details on requirements of visitors to Ireland, please take a look at the website www.gov.ie
