General Booking Conditions for Individuals
In all circumstances Specialized Travel Services endeavor to insure the most suitable product for our clients. Our service begins with the first phone call, and continues during your stay in Ireland and beyond. In the event of any cancellation of your trip, all efforts will be made on your behalf, to obtain a full refund from the services involved, however holiday insurance is recommended.
Cancellation fees may vary for certain custom itinerary tours with our different travel agents, operators and Partners; your Specialized Travel Services consultant will specify cancellation fees prior to making your reservation.
DEPOSITS
A non-refundable 10% deposit is required to confirm all bookings and reservations cannot be guaranteed until this has been received.
FINAL PAYMENT
The balance of payment must reach us 6 weeks prior to your arrival. If booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to departure full payment will be required immediately.
CANCELLATION FEES
In the event of cancellation, where the clients need to cancel for any reason prior to departure, all efforts will be made to secure a refund from the services and properties involved. However it should be noted that the following cancellation fees would be levied, depending on the date of cancellation.
The initial booking deposit of 10% is non-refundable.
29 to 42 days 25%
28 to 14 days 50%
Within 14 days 100%
Special deposit and cancellation terms may apply for different services, and if so will be supplied with booking confirmation.
Please note that this cancellation policy applies to the land arrangements only. Air is subject to the terms and conditions of the airline.
TRAVEL PROTECTION
We recommend all clients traveling take out travel insurance. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond your control can happen such as a family emergency or sickness, bags are lost by the airline, or you may need to cancel due to other unforeseen circumstances; you require travel insurance to cover these unforeseen circumstances. You maybe already insured or have access to another insurance product, before you travel make sure that the travel insurance you choose covers all aspects of travel you wish to insurance.

UNUSED TOUR VOUCHERS
Any unused tour vouchers for hotels, B&B’s, car rental or any other unused services are not exchangeable or refundable.
LAND REVISION FEE
Any revision to land arrangements made after the original booking has been processed will incur a 50.00 Euro handling fee per booking. Clients will also be liable for any additional cancellation penalties incurred by suppliers. Specialized Travel Services cannot accept revisions within 14 days of departure or once documents have been issued.
CURRENCY
In all cases the EURO is applicable in the first instance.Payment is accepted by Credit Card – Visa & Mastercard are the preferred cards. Credit card payments are processed in Euros and converted into US dollars at the current rate of exchange.A US dollar invoice can be issued on request for clients wishing to pay by dollar cheque.
LIABILITY
All documents are issued, and all arrangements covering hotel accommodation, transport, tours, transfers and all other services required by the traveler, are made on the explicit understanding that Specialized Travel Services act only as Agent and as such admit no liabilities whatsoever for any loss, damage, delay or injury to persons or property arising out of, or in any connection with any act of neglect or default however caused, either directly or indirectly by the principals or persons or their agents or servants, who shall provide such hotel accommodation, transport, tours, transfers or all other services provided.
DOCUMENTATION
All Tour documentation will be sent out to the travel agent approximately 21 days prior to the departure of the tour, provided full payment has been received. In the event this is not acceptable, we require sufficient notice in order to avoid express shipping charges.If we are not given sufficient notice, the passenger or travel agent will be responsible for express delivery charges.
CAR RENTAL INSURANCE
All self-drive cars in Ireland include unlimited mileage, local taxes and third party insurance. This means that if you have an accident, the other party is covered.
Under the third party insurance policy, the hirer is responsible for all damage to the rental car and must have an imprint of a major credit card with the car rental company at the start of the rental to cover any damages that may occur. The driver and passengers in a rental car may choose to take out Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) to cover injuries received while driving. This is at a supplemented cost and can be paid directly to the car hire company. The additional charges to cover an additional driver are payable at the start of hire directly to the car hire company.
GRATUITIES & TIPPING GUIDELINES
We want you to feel fully informed as you prepare for your Ireland vacation. Please note that gratuities are not included in the price of your vacation or tour. Tipping is entirely optional; however, it is customary to recognise the professionalism, care and local expertise provided by your driver/guide. They play a key role in bringing your Ireland vacation to life – from ensuring your comfort and safety to sharing local knowledge, stories, and recommendations along the way. Many guests choose to express their appreciation with a gratuity at the end of their tour, particularly where service has enhanced their overall experience.
The amounts outlined below are suggested minimum guidelines only, based on current industry standards in Ireland. You are very welcome to tip more should you feel the service you received was exceptional. Gratuities can be given at the conclusion of your tour and are best presented in local currency.
Standard Group Tours (Coach) – (12+ Guests)
Depending on your itinerary, your tour will be operated by either a Driver and Guide (two-person crew) or a Driver/Guide, where one professional carries out both roles.
Private Tours & Private Chauffeur Services (2–11 Guests)
