    Shenanigans Walks

Shenanigans Walks was established in 2017 by Kilkenny local Nevin Cody. Born and bred in Kilkenny he went on to have successful careers in retail, banking and also as a professional entertainer and magician. With his return to Kilkenny he set about creating Shenanigans Walks, bringing a modern twist to walking tours and had created a unique entertaining experience for all ages and interests.

The real magic of Shenanigans is their engaging and refreshing blend of history, compelling stories, culture and interesting fun facts, magic effects yes MAGIC with some shenanigans along the way. The adventure commences from the majestic Kilkenny Castle (ranked one of the most beautiful in the world) and the story unfolds with every step as the journey weaves a path through the medieval streets revealing incredible landmarks such as St Canice’s Cathedral & Round Tower, Rothe House and the Black Abbey, tales of “ The Greatest Knight” who ever lived and Kilkenny’s infamous witch Alice, The Normans, Merchants and a famous beer (now we have your interest :))

Nevin says he wished to create a fun tour that everyone young to young at heart could enjoy, we have the facts and dates, we have stories, explain some turn of phrase origins and as a professional magician and entertainer (who was mentored by the late TV magician Paul Daniels) we bring some magic to elevate and enhance the stories.

The Eco friendly tour also launched a NEW initiative in 2021, announcing that for every paid guest on the tour a tree will be planted in the spring of 2022. The trees will be a mix of native Irish varieties.

Shenanigans Walks has scheduled tours Thursday – Sunday from March to October and children under 12 as part of one family go free. Shenanigans team are available all year round for private tours and you find out more/contact them here.
